Yeah, it’s me and my favorite blue teat about 20 years ago. Time passes but I
still look back to my childhood. I
remember a lot of happy moments and dreams I had at that time. Firstly, I
wanted to be a princess but I reached a conclusion that princesses are stupid.
Then, I wanted to become … a mom.
I had about fifty dolls and they were all my children . After that, I decided to be
a hairdresser. When my dolls lost their hair and I asked my grandma to be my
client, she successfully got this idea out of my head. Later, I was a shop assistant,
a doctor and even a teacher.
It seems that I felt it in my bones :)

What if?
If I had a chance to change a historical event, I would stop
the holocaust. When Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933 no one would
have believed it possible that twelve years later he would become one of the
most infamous people of all time. In those twelve years, he turned one of the
most civilized nations in the world into one of the most barbarous of all time.
By the time his power had come to an end, he had contributed to the
deaths of over fifty million people during the Second World War. In addition to
all of this, he had created a racial state in which all deemed unfit to live. They were either persecuted, enslaved or simply murdered. Among the many
victims of Nazi persecution, most tragically of all, Hitler made it his aim to
murder every Jewish person within his territory. Men, women and children, all
were to be killed. He succeeded in killing over two thirds of them. As a result, six million
Jews were murdered. This is what we call the Holocaust.
If I had a power to change one event in world’s history, I
would assassinate Hitler as a baby. Hitler caused so much pain and suffering
for people, yes, by killing him I would save millions of innocent spirits.

What makes me 'feeling good'
The man whose passionate-sounding music gives
you the shivers.
The man who
is naughty handsome … Michael Bublé.
It was
Christmas time when I’ve heard him on the radio for the first time. He sang a
Christmas song but unfortunately I don’t remember which one. I loved his
wonderful voice and a fresh way to deliver music. Since then, I listen to his
songs all the time: when I wake up, during the day and before I go to bed. He
truly inspires me!
Michael Steven
Bublé is a Canadian singer and actor. He was introduced to swing music and old
standards by his grandfather, ‘He asked me, as a favor to him, to learn the
songs that he loved so much. It was kind of a guilt trip, but he didn't have to
do much convincing. I started practicing and entered a local talent contest. I
won the competition, but was later disqualified for being underage.’ – said Bublé.
His grandfather believed that his grandson had an enormous talent. And he was right.
Bublé has
won several awards, including three Grammy Awards and multiple Juno Awards. His
first album reached the top ten in Canada and the UK.
Now, Poland is waiting for Bublé! Michael
Bublé, one of the most recognised singers of the decade, also called the new
Frank Sinatra, is going to perform in Poland for the first time! The Canadian
is visiting our country on 23.04.2012 and is going to sing in ERGO ARENA in
Gdańsk/Sopot. PS: Who wants to buy me a ticket? :)
When I am
sad I listen to… Bublé.
When I am
happy I listen to… Bublé.
When I am angry
I listen to… Bublé.

The value of learning a foreign language
Since I am the student of English, I can’t imagine a situation where I’m deprived of the possibility of learning any foreign language. No way! I dread the thought of not mugging up on my grammar tests or learning vocabulary till the crack of dawn. What about studying literature? It’s a pleasure to visit Great Gatsby in his luxurious house or float with Huckleberry Finn on the Mississippi River.
Although there are a lot of arguments in favor of learning foreign languages, people seem to be ignorant about them. I know it’s sad but unfortunately true.
With reference to an article published in The Observer I want to convince anyone who will read my post on this blog to study foreign languages. It’s quite strange that in a world that is becoming more global foreign languages are taken off the school curriculum. Why? Is it really so tormenting necessity to learn foreign languages?
I’ve heard that among people from English-speaking countries there's a feeling that everybody else speaks English anyway so any additional language is necessary. For most British people the idea of language learning is tied up with the dreaded phrase "écoutez et répétez", or frowning over tables of German "cases". However, learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary but primarily about communication and cultural understanding.
I STRONGLY believe that languages can open doors for you since with the knowledge of any extra languages you better fit the world. You avoid occupying the same positions, the same phrases, all your life, as the author of the article states. You are free to choose your dream job, travel around the world, meet new people, and what is the most important communicate with them.
REMEMBER! It’s better to speak a foreign language imperfectly than not to speak it at all.
What’s more, each language allows you to express ideas, thoughts, and feelings…
Imagine being in a doctor’s office and trying to explain your illness, and not understanding the diagnosis. It can be compared to a situation where a dog tries to talk to a pig. It wouldn’t work, for sure.

Singer Whitney Houston dies at 48
Legendary pop singer Whitney Houston was found dead Saturday at a Beverly Hills, California, hotel, officials said. She was 48.
The entertainer, whose incredible talent was discovered at an early
age, was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. (6:55 p.m. ET) at the Beverly
Hilton hotel despite resuscitation efforts, a police spokesman said.
Beverly Hills Police Lt. Mark Rosen said there were "no obvious signs
of criminal intent" and that the cause of her death is being
investigated. Houston's bodyguard found her body, said Courtney Barnes, publicist for hip-hop artist Ray J, who was dating the pop diva. According to her official website, Houston sold more than 170 million
albums, singles and videos. But she also struggled with addiction
problems over the years.
Houston, whose hits included "The Greatest Love of All," died on the
eve of the 54th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los
Angeles. She had performed as late as Thursday night at a pre-Grammy
event in the area. A pre-Grammy party was scheduled Saturday night at
the Beverly Hilton.
